Why, hello there! It’s been a couple of weeks and indeed there is “updating” to do.
First of all, a huge thank you for all the comments on the tattoo post. Overwhelmed by all the positive feedback and still inlove with the piece. Can’t wait until Tim and I meet again so we can finish it. In the meantime if you’re in New York you should all get inked by him.
Two things are happening on Monday.
1. The first ever official Coilhouse T-shirt , featuring my Inform girl from Issue 1, will go on sale for 1 week only. It’s $19.99 and available in 2 styles! Don’t miss your chance to own one of these sexy mother fuckers – we’ll stop taking orders at on Friday at midnight. Click for details and ordering instructions.
2. At 9 am I’ll be taking flight in the direction of Texas, for that big bad madhouse they call SXSW. They also tell me there will be drinking, debauchery and lots and lots of music. I’ll be documenting my adventures and the scene at a new music/culture blog that’s crazy enough to ask me to do so. More on that soon.
Other things that happened:
+ at the price of complete hermitage finished new Inform/Inspire/Infect girls for the next issue of Coilhouse. A sneak peek:
+ have been setting up my home-zone for optimum efficiency. Observe:
+ had lots of meetings
+ finally met Gala and Nubs
+ shot promo images for MA46
+ loved Watchmen
+ meant to mention this sooner, but right after my return from Vegas I went to Elton John’s annual Oscar party and had a great time. Elton’s a man who can appreciate a good pair of glasses. On that topic, I have barely had any time to go out, but I have managed a select few dinners, shows and trips to the Edison. The apple pie a la mode at Jones Cafe proved particularly memorable.
+ the ghost of the 365 project, where I take maybe 2 self-portraits/week, is chugging along. Who knew it would be so hard to make time for this? Part of the problem is that I really don’t want 365 photos of just my head.
I’m sure there’s plenty more I’m forgetting. I have a fairly mind-blowing list of missions to attend to before I fly away so it’s best we pause this pleasant chat until later. For less coherent, but more frequent updates you can follow me on Twitter. Listen to Courage Wolf: Climb the highest mountain. Punch the face of god.
