Photo Flurry 098 – Pushing Pencils In the Studio

February 16th, 2012 · 6 Comments · Photo Flurry

I’ve been working on my piece for Gag Me With a Toon these past couple of days and actually using the drafting table in mine and Ales’ shared studio as opposed to the kitchen table, as I had for the past two months. Incidentally, the studio is the least-insulated room in the entire house, so protective measures must be taken, even with the space heater on full blast. Not pictured: Micron curled up in her bed right next to it.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. This drafting table is nothing fancy, but it fits our space and gets the job done!

While I have no exact need for one, I always found drafting tables to be rather interesting. Neat photos :D

They’re extremely useful for people like me who otherwise curl into all manner of pretzel-forms while drawing.

I love them because the freedom they allow for movement, as well… I used to use them more in college, when I had clients that wanted fine art vs. digital. Now everyone wants the digital… sure would be nice to bust out the easel and drafting table again. I think I just might.
