Photo Flurry 061 – Up in the Park

Photo Flurry

This is what I require, as often as time allows:

Air, and green, and gophers, and a good book above the city.

And watching Micron watch the gophers. There is no way to truly know whether she wants to befriend or destroy them.

We let her get close enough to see and really smell them, but not close enough to find out her intentions.

I’m 3/4 through Rant, but managed to resist plunging my hand into all those inviting burrows.

One of Rant‘s characters is named “Echo”, which happens to be a pseudonym I used for about a year once.

I’ve started a Tumblr dedicated to the ol’ 36FAIL project, which has been an effective reminder, thus far. All that empty space.

I love Chuck Palahniuks books…i’m missing a few, but I have most of them, haha. Awe man I can’t wait until April or May when outside here will finally look like that again. Sort of. It isn’t ever -quite- that green. Haha.

    Also, gophers are awesome. :)

I require something similar often which is why I feel so very stifled as a desert child.

Curious little Micron, is the gophers you gotta watch out for!

Nikki, I haven’t read all his stuff yet – just a few, looking forward to it though!

Claudia, I wish I had recoded the noises of despair and desire Micron was making at the grave injustice of being kept away from the gophers.

    Heather, I’m loving it, too.

    1) Survivor was crazy good. 2) Where did Ales get those bad ass boots?

I’m still wishing for more Rant. More! More! More! Rant. Between that and Invisible Monsters, they’re my favourite Palahniuk books.

He’s also pretty hilarious live. (I went to the book tour for Rant and got to wear a nice little wedding headdress and see all the people dressed in bridal gear. It was pretty rad!)

Your weather is looking suspciously like my weather, which is a wonderful thing. ENJOY IT!

You’ve probably mentioned before, but what breed is your dog?

  • Erin

Rant is my favourite Chuck Palahniuk book; just devoured Haunted. Just can’t put his books down.

Now I want to read Rant after reading the summary on Amazon. I see that book everyday when I’m at work spreading caffeinated joy to the morning zombies.

And I also love your dog. She’s adorable.
