3D Rococo apparatus, continued

Just as I was mentioning my plans to re-create my Rococo technology designs in actual metal yesterday, someone talented took it upon themselves to create this delightful 3D model. Brings the project to life, it do.

Haha I was thinking about doing the same thing…this came out really good. Makes one wonder what some of your work would look like fully 3D.

Oh wow – a pre-emptive thank you! Chances are I’ll be perfecting the design before production so this isn’t exactly what the final will look like, but it’s so exciting to actually see it this way.

I’m still a beginner with 3D modeling but you’d be surprised how many elements of more traditional art disciples come into play. If you ever get a chance to seriously play with stuff like Maya for example..do so. I think you’d enjoy it. I basically want to learn it so I can integrate 3D elements into my own work but also in hopes of breaking into visual effects…a lot of great things are starting to evolve in all that beyond just standard FX for films. The tools that come out of it…amazing stuff…especially in the area of organic modeling.
